    • Why Log-in with Facebook?

      Logging in via Facebook is a quick way to register to a website. No need to fill out any forms: your Facebook profile is enough. Don't worry, pahiram won't post on your behalf, or access your profile without your permission. We know how important privacy is, and we will respect yours.

    • What is the Terms and Conditions document for?

      This is just to make sure that every member is aware of the full details and limitations of the pahiram service. It's mainly there for your information, and protection.

    • What if I do not agree with the Terms & Conditions?

      You are 100% free to either agree or disagree with the terms and conditions. But if there's anything in the T&C that you're not comfortable with, we feel it would be in your best interest not to register. So please read the T&C carefully!

    • Can I be a borrower and a Lender at the same time?

      You can be a borrower OR a lender, but not both at the same time.

    • What is the 6 digit security PIN for?

      Your nominated 6 digit security PIN will be the code you will use whenever you login to pahiram. It is our way of authenticating your identity, so make sure not to let others know about your PIN number.

    • What is SMS Verification?

      Since we're dealing your finances, we want to be sure that every transaction made in your name is completely authorized by you. The SMS verification sends a 4-digit code to your mobile phone, which you will input in order to proceed with the transaction. It's for us to make sure that you, your identity, and your security are not compromised.

    • I received the 4-digit code via SMS. What do I do with it?

      Just type in the code when we ask you to, and you're good to proceed with your transaction!

    • Where can I find help about the borrowing/lending process?

      Easy! Just click the question mark ? found on a page and you'll find a Q&A guide that can help you.

    • Why do you need my e-mail address?

      We will mostly be using email to get in touch with you regarding your transaction, your account, or any other information that you might need to know. We'll also be sending your transaction receipts via email, since it's one of the more secure channels available.

    • Why do you need my mobile number?

      Every time you make a transaction, we will be sending a one-time password to you via SMS. This is one of the most convenient ways to verify your identity. And let's admit it: it's one of the fastest ways, too.

    • Why do I have to input my Bank Account?

      This info will help link your pahiram account to your bank account for easier online transactions.
      We accept bank accounts under BDO, BPI, Chinabank, EastWest Bank, Land Bank of the Philippines, Metrobank, PNB, RCBC, Security Bank, UCPB and PS Bank.

    • What are pahiram's partnered bank providers?

      We accept bank accounts from BDO, MBTC, Chinabank, Unionbank, RCBC, EastWest, BPI, UCPB, Security Bank and Landbank.

    • What do I indicate as my Account Name?

      This is the name assigned for your bank account. Please make sure that the name you provide is identical to the name assigned to the bank account.

    • What do I put in Account Number?

      Enter your 9- or 10-digit bank account number

    • How does online banking work?

      We partnered with Dragonpay, one of the leading online payment gateway platforms, to enable bank-to-bank transfer
      We accept bank accounts from Asia United Bank, BDO, BPI, Chinabank, EastWest Bank, Land Bank of the Philippines, Metrobank, PNB, RCBC, RCBC MyWallet, RCBC Savings, Security Bank, UCPB and UnionBank
      No transfer fees will be paid by the lender when putting money into their account but a fee will be charged whenever they withdraw from the platform.

    • Why do I need to submit documents to use pahiram? Can I make a transaction without them?

      These documents are a way for us to provide transparency to our users in the pahiram community. Rest assured, we will not release any information without your knowledge and permission. If you cannot submit the documents immediately, don't worry. You can send them in at a later time.

    • What documents do I need to submit?

      • Certificate of Employment - This guarantees your employment status with your current company. You can easily request for one from your company's HR department.
      • Utility Bills - These are the bills you regularly receive for services like water, electricity, telco services, and internet service.
      • Valid ID - This can be your company ID, or a government ID (e.g. Driver's License, Voter's ID, Unified Identity ID, or passport). Please make sure that your government ID will remain valid for the next 12 months.
      • Birth Certificate - A document stating the full details of your birth (including your full name, date of birth, and place of birth). You can get a copy of this from the NSO.
      • BIR 2306 - BIR Form 2306. Certificate of Final Income Tax Withheld. This certificate is accomplished and issued by the withholding agent, usually the employer, to reflect the income subjected to final tax. It should indicate the total amount paid, as well as the total taxes withheld and remitted during the period
    • What do I get from submitting all these documents?

      Submitting these documents will positively affect your trust score. If you're a borrower, complete documents can help lower your interest rates.

    • What are the information that is shown in my profile?

      • Status - This indicates if you're a borrower, or lender on pahiram.
      • Trust Score - this is your average rating performance as a member of the pahiram community.
      • Loans to Date - the number of loan transactions you have made since you joined pahiram
      • Contact Details - the mobile number and email address you used to register. If you wish to update and change any of this information, just click the "edit" button
    • What is Available Cash?

      This is the cash that you deposited in your pahiram account. Any amount that you agree to lend via pahiram will be taken from there. Any additional amounts (like interest) that you receive will be added to your Available Cash.

    • What is Interest Earned?

      This is the computed interest based on your previous and existing transactions in pahiram. If you have not yet made any transactions with borrowers in pahiram, the amount for your Interest Earned will be zero.

    • What is Interest to be Earned?

      This is the estimated computed interest based on your future transactions on pahiram.

    • What is Active Loaned Amount?

      This is the total amount of all loan transactions you've made on pahiram.

    • What is Total Loaned Amount?

      This is the sum of all loaned money transactions you have in pahiram.

    • What is the Fund Account button?

      You can at any time fund your account and increase your account's Availabe Cash. You can put in as much as you want.

    • What is in the Active Loans section?

      This shows you a list of all the loans you have with different borrowers on pahiram

    • What is the Total Loan Amount?

      This is the total loan amount from you per borrower on pahiram. Please make sure to double-check the total amount because we will consider this amount as final.

    • How can I fund my account?

      You can fund your account through the following methods:

    • What is the loan requests section?

      Available Cash - This is the available cash that can be lent out to the borrowers.
      What information can I find on a Loan Card?

      • Loan Amount - The principal amount requested by the borrower.
      • Monthly Return - The computed interest and the principal amortization to be received per month.
      • Interest Rate - The assigned interest rate to the borrower.
      • Interest Earnings - The computed interest based on the borrower's assigned interest rate.
      • Witholding Taxes - The amount withheld by Pahiram on behalf of the lender on the taxes to be paid on the interest earned
      • Installment - This is the payment schedule or tenure assigned to the borrower
      • Purpose - The borrower's identified purpose for the loan
    • How does the Loan Card work?

      When a borrower nominates you as a lender, you will receive a message notifying you that they chose you as their lender. If you agree to this, we will inform the borrower that you are interested in lending them the amount.
      Once you selected view details, it will send a notification to the borrower of your interest to lend.

    • What is in the transactions section?

      This shows you details such as interest earnings received, amount lent to the borrower, and other details of your transactions

    • What is a Loan Application Form?

      This form shows the details of your loan, including the amount, the purpose of your loan, and your payment date. This will help us recommend the best loan terms for you

    • What are the types of loan purposes/reasons I can consider?

      Your loan purpose can be one of many things, some of which include:

      • Education
      • Medical
      • Gadgets
      • Vacation
      • Bills Payment
      • Transportation
      • Special Events
      • Small Business
      • Food
      • Groceries
      • Clothing & Accessories

    • What is Loan Amount?

      This is the amount you intend to loan. You can put in any amount from Php 1,000 to Php 50,000. Your loan amount must be in increments of P100 (e.g. you can loan P1,500 but not P1,499 or P1,501).

    • What does months to pay mean?

      This is how many months you'll be repaying the loan for. You can pay off your loan over a minimim of 1 month, and a maximum of 6 months.

    • What do you mean by choose payment date?

      This is the set date every month (e.g. every 15th of the month) during which you will repay the monthly amount for your loan from your friend. Just a tip, you might want to pick the date that you receive your regular income, to avoid any inconveniences.

    • Every when does my loan application expire?

      A loan application expires if your loan request has not been accepted by any of your nominated friends after 24 hours.

    • What can I do when my loan expires?

      You can nominate a different set of friends, or nominate the same friends from your previous application.
      You can also message them separately to give them a reminder about your loan request. To increase chances of a response, we recommend messaging them directly as well.

    • Is there a Borrower's Fee?

      As a welcome gift, each borrower's very first loan via Pahiram will be 100% free. After that, a P50 annual fee will apply, and in return you will get complete access to all our promos and discounts.

    • What is the Processing Fee?

      A small processing fee of PhP 40 will apply, and an additional PhP 20 for every suceeding month (e.g. 1 month loan = PhP60; 2 month loan = PhP80)
      These fees help keep the platform going.

    • Can I select the payment method to withdraw money?

      You can choose from the following methods:

      • Online Banking via Dragonpay
      • Over the Counter with our partner banks
    • What do I see in the transactions page?

      This shows you a summary of your payment transactions - what and when you've successfully made payments to any of your lenders.

    • What do I see in the active loans page?

      This gives you a summary of your current loan transactions and loan amount.
      It also has details like pending loan payments, and a history of your past payments.

    • How rating works?

      We give our lenders and borrowers the opportunity to rate their overall experience with their respective lender and borrower partners.
      Every after completed transactions, users get a chance to rate their lenders and borrowers. This helps increase confidence of future lenders and borrowers for that specific user.

      A collateral is a property or other asset that a borrower offers as a way for a lender to secure a loan.

    • I am a Lender, how do I get the collateral from the borrower?

      You may have the collateral shipped to you or you may meet up personally with your borrower. Just a tip: before giving the money, make sure that you have already received the collateral that was promised to you. Pahiram is not responsible for getting and sending the collaterals to the lenders.

    • What happens to the collateral if the loan is not paid or if the loan is defaulted?

      If the borrower stops making the promised loan payments, the lender can seize the collateral to recoup their losses.
